The sunset, the red of the tree trunks and... an experience (and commitment) to last the rest of your life. Madagascar, the mysterious island where a host of animal species and plants have evolved separately from the rest of the world, has a lot to offer!

The flight from Vienna to the “Noah’s Ark” of the world with a glass of red wine was only the beginning of a great adventure. Lukáš and Alice first explored the capital city of the republic, Antananarivo. The next day, they travelled to the south part of the island. And the holiday of their dreams began!

Each dawn brought new experiences. Sipping drinks on the most beautiful beaches of the south was followed by snorkelling alongside coral reefs, whale watching and shopping at local markets. They caught their first glimpse of baobabs in the Reniala forest, which is literally a seedbed for various cactus species. Nature gave way to history, the tombs of the Mahafaly tribe, souvenirs carved in wood by the Betsileo tribe, and the city of Ilakaka, living in the grip of sapphire fever. Lemurs also put in an appearance! The enchanting rock formation at Anja is home to hundreds of these furry friends, the only wild colonies in the world, who willingly pose for photos.

And then it was time to move to Morondava to reach the final destination. A luxury four-star hotel with a private beach and delicious food. Before sunrise, they took a walk to see the famous baobabs. There, Lukáš opened his heart and, as the first rays of the sun shone through, he made his vows to Alice.
