“After much deliberation about which island to visit, we decided on South. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit both. We are adrenaline junkies, so we were won over by the fact that Queenstown on the South Island is the birthplace of bungee jumping, with lots of similar antics to experience.” Jana and Petr wanted to see as much as possible on the island, and enjoy an unforgettable holiday in the beautiful natural surroundings of New Zealand.

In addition to flight tickets, it was necessary to arrange the hire of a camper van, which they used to transport themselves across the island, and which also served as their home. This mode of travel is very common in New Zealand and the camper van we procured for the travellers was really comfortable. After arriving in the biggest city on South Island, Christchurch, the young couple checked in to a luxury hotel with swimming pool which we booked for the first two nights. On the third day, Petr and Jana jumped into their new mobile home and the adventure began.

They more or less toured the entire island. They started their trip with a spot of whale-watching and were lucky enough to see a humpback. They visited the popular wine-growing region of Marlborough where the delicious Sauvignon Blanc is cultivated, and wandered the amazing Wharariki Beach. “After crossing incredible sand dunes, we reached an endless beach and could see young sea lions with their mother taking care of them. It was absolutely amazing!” Other highlights they mentioned included the flight over the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers, and admiring the beautiful views from the deck of a boat in the Milford Sound fjord. “We are starting to save money so that we can visit New Zealand again. Even if there are three of us!” Jana has since told us.
